AVL Approach- To support the design of a new vehicle or engine AVL carry out finite element calculations for acoustic simulation of critical components using AVL developed software. The acoustic and vibration characteristics of the vehicle or engine are predicted and the design is optimized before the hardware is produced.
- Before improving an existing vehicle or engine, AVL measure and analyse a variety of prameters, such as vehicle interior noise and pass-by noise, overall engine noise, combustion noise exitation, engine noise radiation characteristics, vehicle and vibration behaviour and noise quality. Strategies are then developed together with the customer to realise the most appropriate NVH solution quantified by the above mentioned parameters.
