AVL Fuel BalanceFor continuous fuel consumption measurement on engine test beds and chassis dynamometers in research, development and production.
The fuel consumption is measured gravimetrically, two AVL Fuel Balances being configured as a double weighing system controlled by a control unit. One balance takes over the measurement when the other is being filled thus allowing test cycles of any length to be measured while retaining all the advantages of the vessel system.

- Direct gravimetric measurement with an accuracy of 0.12%
- Eminently suitable for state-of-the-art high-pressure injection systems, such as common rail and petrol direct injection
- Extremely low measurement value scatter and short measurement times
- Not sensitive to pressure pulsations from the carburetion system
- Highly accurate measurement of dynamic fuel curves Integrated accuracy and calibration routines to ISO9001
- One measurement sensor or measurement system for the complete measurement range
- Measurement results absolutely comparable with those of the AVL Mass Flow Meter
