New combustion processes require accurate analysis of the phenomena in the fuel injection system. AVL has responded to these developments by producing the SL31D Series Pressure Transducers which can measure static pressure as well as highly dynamic pressure changes. They are therefore particularly suitable for use in common rail and GDI injection systems. These pressure transducers work on the strain-gauge principle and, by comparison with piezoresistive sensors, offer otherwise unachievable precision.
