Powertrain Integration GroupAVL’s Powertrain Integration Group is located in a dedicated and high security facility on Millbrook Technology Park.
The cross-functional team draws expertise from across AVL global services with a specific focus on delivering vehicle and powertrain integration services. This includes calibration, simulation, mechanical development and electrical/electronic applications.
The Powertrain Integration Group is experienced in the application of unique AVL technologies and methodologies to reduce the cost, time and risk associated with integration programmes.
- AVL PUMA – a Windows NT based test bed control system serving all major tasks in engine, powertrain and transmission testing.
- AVL DRIVE – a driveability evaluation tool for use in vehicle, on dynamic test bed, on chassis dyno, for HIL applications and for use in simulation.
- AVL CAMEO – a software calibration tool capable of on-line automated DoE mapping or offline data analysis and optimisation.
- AVL CRUISE – a vehicle simulation package whose flexible, modular concept allows any configuration of mechanical/electrical structures and control systems.
Close proximity to Millbrook Proving Ground with its comprehensive test and development facilities provides AVL with an ideal engine and vehicle development facility from which to provide a fast, efficient service for UK and international clients.
