From the prototype through to series production, AVL ensures the best possible customer support. Technologies applied in design, simulation and development are derived from continous in-house research. The development of pre-production engines and the validation for production is backed up by our production engineering experts in close co-operation with the customers production planning, and interfaced with the supplier network and the engine and vehicle development activities.

A fundamental requirement is thorough knowledge of the whole development process, from design through to series production. AVL's development process is based on decades of experience and is continuously updated. The generic process is designed flexible for an easy adaptation to the customers process, allowing any kind of work split, yet ensuring a complete coverage of all work steps required to achieve a high quality development result ready to go in production.
