AVL ApproachTo support the design of a new vehicle or engine AVL carry out finite element acoustic simulation using the AVL software tools GLIDE, EXCITE and TYCON, together with SYSNOISE. The acoustic and vibration characteristics of the vehicle / engine are predicted and the design is optimised before any hardware is produced.
For the improvement of an existing installation, AVL measure vehicle interior and pass-by noise, overall engine noise, combustion noise excitation, engine noise radiation characteristics, vehicle and engine vibration behaviour and noise quality. Strategies are then developed together with the customer to realise the most appropriate NVH solutions.
Our extensive know-how regarding noise contribution and investigation of all vehicle components leads to tailor made solutions in appropriate time and with a reasonable price. Projects are carried out together with sub-suppliers and in close co-operation with clients. |
