AVL offers very cost effective solutions for commercial engines with high peak firing pressure potential, i.e. 250 bar, and bmep levels up to 35 bar. The high max bmep level offers a significantly larger application range for the base engine. Due to a clever design approach the base engine achieves a longer engine lifetime and better on-road fuel consumption, however remains at the same cost level as engines currently on the market with the same swept volume.
