Advanced Finite Element analysis methods are applied to analyse and optimise the stress and deformation behaviour of all relevant engine components. Rapid meshing technologies allow for quick modelling of whole engine models. A continuous update of the result database with measurement and development results guarantees a good understanding of the required limit values in the engine engineering process (e.g. acceptable bore deformations or gasket pressure requirements). Expertise developed on modelling, loading conditions, analysis, and evaluation over many years and extensive database information on characteristic material properties are the key elements applied in the analysis process.
