Fatigue failure is one of the major mechanical failure modes for highly loaded engine components. AVL applies the most advanced fatigue post-processing methods and tools in order to assess component durability under service loading conditions. Critical parameters such as surface conditions, manufacturing influences, temperature, local stress gradient and size effects are considered.
