The AVL Motorcycle Team offers the complete range of development services for all kinds of 2 Wheelers and ATVs.

Motorcycles

AVL’ s services cover a variety of different types of motorcycles from racing to touring with tailor-made engines such as 2 - stroke and 4 - stroke gasoline engines and diesel engines.
AVL is working in all fields of state of the art motorcycle technology which are required to fulfill the customer’s expectations in terms of performance but also combustion stability, driveability and fuel consumption along with compliance with latest legal requirements such as Euro 3 Emission Legislation.
AVL’s self-financed in-house R&E projects and synergy effects from its long history in the development of internal combustion engines for a wide range of different applications ensure that AVL can provide leading edge technology at any time.

Scooter / Moped

AVL offers a wide range of services for scooters and mopeds covering the range from the improvement of existing engines in terms of performance, fuel consumption, emissions and noise to the development of completely new powertrains.
AVL pays special attention to providing design solutions which are capable for mass production at the lowest possible costs to enable the customer to place a competitive product on the market.

Minimum Transportation

Minimum transportation describes small motorized 2 - wheeled vehicles which cannot be assigned to the category of scooters and mopeds, for instance bicycles with auxiliary engines.

ATV

AVL provides solutions for ATVs including 4-wheel drive, hi/lo shifter, reverse gear, power take off, integrated differential, independent wheel suspension and high payload.
On the engine side, AVL offers building block systems where an ATV and a motorcycle engine share many common parts. The engine concepts cover gasoline and diesel applications.
