Additionally the development of the vehicle on the chassis dyno and on the road in terms of driveability and emissions is included in AVL’s scope of work.
Stringent future emission regulations lead to a high complexity in terms of application and calibration of the engine. The engine mapping on the engine dyno and the application and calibration on the chassis dyno and on the road for vehicles equipped with fuel injection and 3 – way catalyst is a typical task during the development.
Finally the Homologation of engines and vehicles according to ECE regulations can be performed by AVL MTC.
AVL uses latest test bed technologies on engine-, chassis- and acoustic dynamometers for engine- and vehicle improvement, development & testing, application and calibration.
