Tests were performed on steady state test bed to demonstrate potential for:
Full load operation
Part Load (homogeneous λ=1)
20% efficiency improvement due to stratified operation
in total up to 40% reduction in CO
2
emission compared to homogeneous gasoline λ=1operation
overall very low NOx-emission level
In complete engine map very wide range for stable combustion parameters
significantly higher low end torque compared to CNG manifold injection
