AVL´s approach is to integrate and optimize powertrain components by combining know-how in the areas of Powertrain Engineering, Advanced Simulation Technologies and Instrumentation and Test Systems.
In the last 15 years, AVL has extended its 50 years experience in development of powertrains based on internal combustion engines by particular know-how and methods for the development of Hybrid powertrains. Hybrid specific component know-how on electric motors, power electronics and batteries is available within the AVL group.
Integrating the different components to a system is a major strength of AVL´s powertrain development. AVL supports the entire development process and supplies the needed simulation tools as well as the proper instruments and test systems.
