AVL BOOST offers the possibility to model any part of the intake or exhaust manifold in full 3D by coupling the 1D flow solution with AVL’s FIRE 3D CFD software. This offers the possibility of time and cost effective optimization of key elements such as the intake plenum (EGR mixing) or the close-coupled catalyst (uniformity, heat-up and conversion).
