A New Logo and Kaleidoscope Pictures for AVLThe high tech company AVL presents its new image: kaleidoscope pictures which are intended to symbolize the unique business of AVL and a new logo guarantee a new strong brand image of the globally present company. The modern design will be used for all business units and levels of advertisement. Prof. Helmut List, CEO of AVL says: "The new logo and the new elements introduced in our communication strategy will make the globally known strong image of AVL even more dynamic and underline the uniqueness of our company”. This relaunch was planned and executed by the advertisement agency “Scoop” in close cooperation with AVL.Kaleidoscope pictures are used as AVL’s new communication elements to represent AVL’s high power of innovation as well the products and services of the high tech company and create a significantly stronger emotional appeal. A kaleidoscope symbolizes symmetry, structure and perfection. The elements within a kaleidoscope always interact with each other and form unique pictures, almost like the business operations of AVL: elements of the AVL units Powertrain Engineering, Test Systems and Advanced Simulation Technologies are combined in different and sometimes surprising ways within the company resulting in unique solutions for our customers.
The new AVL logo is also based on an abstraction of the kaleidoscope idea: It symbolizes the highest level of abstraction of AVL’s competences and provides a strong differentiation of AVL from its competitors on a graphical level.
AVL is the world’s largest privately-owned and independent company for the development of powertrain systems with combustion engines, instrumentation and test systems as well as mathematical simulation software. The high-tech company AVL employs 4.100 people worldwide. Turnover in 2007 was 625 million Euro.
