ADVISORADVISOR 2004 – Virtual Vehicle Analysis ADVISOR is a major addition to AVL’s extensive vehicle simulation software portfolio.
AVL will market and sell ADVISOR worldwide through its affiliates and provide technical support for its global user base.
ADVISOR is designed for rapid analysis of the performance and fuel economy of conventional and advanced, light and heavy-duty vehicle models as well as hybrid electric and fuel cell vehicle models. It tests the effect of parameter changes in vehicle components (such as motors, batteries, catalytic converters, climate control systems, and alternative fuels) and other modifications that might affect fuel economy, performance or emissions.
AVL is proud to announce that the newest version of ADVISOR is now ready for distribution!

Commercialisation of ADVISORThe U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) first developed ADVISOR in 1994. Between 1998 and 2003 it was downloaded by more than 7,000 individuals, corporations, and universities world-wide. In early 2003 NREL initiated the commercialisation of ADVISOR through a public solicitation. AVL responded and was awarded the exclusive rights to license and distribute ADVISOR world-wide. AVL is committed to continuously enhance ADVISOR’s capabilities.
AVL ADVISOR helps to meet the simulation needs of the world's transportation industryAccurate component and vehicle simulation are crucial for efficient development of advanced vehicles, particularly for making intelligent choices regarding energy management. Simulating vehicle and component performance helps engineers determine how to increase the life of components, improve vehicle performance, optimize vehicle system designs, and reduce development times, all for a fraction of the cost of vehicle testing. As an analysis tool with the auto-size capability and various incorporated energy management strategies as well as the Design of Experiments capability, AVL ADVISOR offers engineers the ability to analyze effectively various conceptual vehicle systems and reveal design solutions.
