Concerto 4The easiest way to turn your data into informationIn close cooperation with customers and an independent software expert company, our CMMI® certified development team has set new standards in terms of functionality, usability and reliability for efficient and powerful data post processing. The result is the development of CONCERTO 4, the new generation of our application and workflow oriented data post processing software.
By using CONCERTO 4 the time effort for obtaining the most valuable information out of your data will be reduced significantly.
CONCERTO 4 makes simple analysis tasks as well as advanced functionality easily accessible for every user. Clear structure and improved formula handling, extensive evaluation capabilities as well as professional graphical presentation make it ideal for processing of data from complete vehicle to individual components - today, and in the future!
The workflow conceptCONCERTO 4 guides the user directly via the user interface through the most common steps of a typical post-processing workflow. Thereby the user can decide on his own, if he wants to follow the complete workflow or start and stop somewhere in between.
| DATA ACCESSAccessing data on databases, on local files, on network shares – directly or within preconfigured data environments - all available at a single entry point | | DATA DISPLAYSCreating new report windows, adding diagrams or adding tables - perform it at the same place | | CALCULATIONSSimple formulas or complex macros as well as automation scripts - different tasks started out of the same place | | EXPORTWhere do go with the results: export to printer, files, clipboard or HTML - it’s up to your decision. |
How did we manage to increase the usability of a complex software for sophisticated data post-processing?New elements in the graphical user interface reduce the complexity of the software appearance and thereby offer the user intuitive access to the functionalities of the software:
- a Workflow Bar supports the user to navigate directly to the most common functions
- the AVL BlueBar offers access to the main modules (like DataExplorer, CalcGraph, etc.) by a single click
- “unnecessary” elements in the user interface shouldn’t block your valuable working area - toolbars and object libraries are shown / hidden automatically according to the performed user interactions and tasks
- multiple bars within the user interface (e.g. for accessing multiple predefined command bars) offer a clear structured overview to the user
The content of the toolbars for interactive modifications is filled automatically according to the selected object. Therefore malfunctions due to operating errors will be reduced to a minimum.
New structure within the property dialogs offers more content and more possibilities to set your property values in a less complex way.
The mechanisms to create new formulas have been further improved. To create new formulas with CONCERTO’s Formula/Script-Editor, it’s no longer mandatory to know about the exact context (file alias, key, formula path) of the formula or the used datasets. The context is taken automatically from the dataset and therefore no further configuration effort is necessary on user side.
How to turn your data into information? The main challenge in dealing with any kind of measurement data (coming from several systems like various automation-, simulation- or measurement systems) is always, to access the data in an intuitive way, without complex format or path definitions. Within CONCERTO 4 especially for beginners, but for more advanced users as well, accessing new data sources is just a matter of a few clicks.
Data Navigation:With an additional window viewing mode within the DataExplorer you can easily navigate to your tests as you are used to it from MS Windows Explorer (overview in tree structure of your complete PC/network environment) | - supports local drives
- supports network shares
- supports ASAM ODS database systems (easy access in the same way as to any other network share)
| Data Access:We have implemented a new mechanism for automated data format recognition of all supported formats, which requires no further user input. The only limitation is, that the data format must be defined by some unique criteria and definitions (e.g. the specification, that it’s an ASCII format would be too generic for a fully automated recognition, but also for this cases, you will already get a list of available ASCII formats or can create your own new definitions via a comfortable wizard). | Data Sources:Within CONCERTO 4 temporary data sources are generated automatically and you can easily make them available as permanent predefined data sources (former file groups). Within these sources you can use all the well known advanced functionalities for filtering or data search. | Data Environments:The usage of multiple data environments, which administrate your defined data sources, is supported in CONCERTO 4 as well. Now you can use some “global” defined data environments in parallel to your user- or even application-specific environments. You can access all the data by simply switching between the different categories (full support of multiple DXV-Files). | Data Visualisation:Once you have opened a test / file within CONCERTO 4, you have all datasets available in the Channel Browser, from where you can start your further tasks and operation (like creating new diagrams, adding objects to existing windows, define calculations, etc.). All opened tests are listed within the Channel Browser, where you can define if you want to replace tests within diagrams or compare the data of several files within the same display objects. Most relevant actions are thereby directly accessible via context menu entries or toolbar icons. |
