iCal - Calibration Equipment

Gas analyzers and flow measuring equipment can measure only as accurately as they have been calibrated. Due to this fact, AVL has investigated a lot in order to develop the most accurate calibration devices available on the market. To allow the highest possible measurement quality and to minimize operator errors, our calibration devices are available in fully automated versions. This also reduces significantly the time the operator needs to spend at the device for calibrations.

AVL Gas Dividers and NOx Efficiency Testers

Our gas dividers and NOx efficiency testers use sonic venturis to generate the gas mixtures. Sonic venturis are a primary standard used for flow measuring applications and also the most precise method to generate accurate gas mixtures. In contrary to often used mass flow controllers, sonic venturis are absolutely drift free. Our used sonic venturis are high precision devices and come with a NIST traceable flow calibration of 0.2% of the flow value. Using, either the front panel for manual operation or the digital communication interface, the device allows fully automated operation in order e.g. to perform overnight linearizations.

AVL Propane Injector

Our Propane Injectors use thermically stabilized critical venturis to generate a precise amount of Propane or other gases. Critical venturis are known as primary standard for flow measurements and therefore, also the most precise way to generate an exact mass flow of gas. Our used sonic venturis are high precision devices and come with a NIST traceable flow calibration of 0.2% of the flow value. Using, either the front panel for manual operation or the digital communication interface, the device allows fully automated operation in order e.g. to perform unmanned tests or calibrations.
