Quality, Environment & SafetyQuality, the environment and safety are all aspects that AVL values highly. Our Quality Management System is certified according to ISO 9001.
Our company is committed to treating the environment with respect and responsibility. AVL's Environment Management System meets ISO 14001 standards and those of the ÖKOPROFIT® programme. In 2007 AVL was awarded the ÖKOPROFIT® Award for ten years of successful participation in the ÖKOPROFIT® Programm by the Mayor of Graz. Many of our products and services help to sustainably reduce environmental pollution from automobiles and powertrain systems.
CertificatesISO 9001:2000 certification of the Powertrain, Measurement and Test Bed Systems Business Units, and also certification of the Graz headquarters to ISO 14001 and "Ecoprofit" (Environmental Management Award, City of Graz) standard are documented by the certificates of accredited organisations. External audits are carried out once a year to check that the standards are being complied with.
AVL succeeded as first Austrian company to pass an external CMMI assessment according to the SCAMPI A method in October 2006.
AVL Restricted Substances ListThe "AVL List of declarable and restricted substances" specifies those materials and substances which may not be supplied to AVL.
