The demands for more productivity in modern test facilities increase permanently. Besides intelligent measuring technique and automation, the mechanical automation of test beds can essentially increase a sufficient use by minimising the setup and test times on the one hand and by guaranteeing more exact test results due to an appropriate design on the other hand, beginning with an exact torque measurement up to the reproducibility of engine media temperature.
