AVL follows the concept of a modular development process: component and sub system development on dedicated test rigs, functional development on stationary and dynamic engine test beds, cold test cell and tilt test rig, and durability tests to simulate in a short time all conditions found in actual use.
The development carried out on the advanced AVL test beds and test rigs uses prototype hardware already pre-optimised by simulation for a better quality of the results and to shorten the overall development schedule.
