AVL Fuel Balance & AVL Conditioning SystemThe Fuel Balance and Fuel Conditioning System are used to measure diesel engine fuel consumption on engine test beds and chassis dynamometers in research, development and production for maximum measurement volumes of 1800 g.
The fuel consumption is determined gravimetrically and permits high measurement accuracy even at low flow rates and short measurement times.
The measurement system is used primarily on steady-state test beds and for cycle measurements on transient, dynamic test beds, chassis dynamometers and oil test rigs up to a maximum measurement volume of 1800 g.

- Usable for a wide range of fuel consumption up to 200 kg/h
- High accuracy of 0,12 % by direct gravimetric measurement
- Extremely low measurement value scatter and short measurement times due to AVL’s measuring principle
- Short measuring times because of the insensitivity to pressure pulsation’s from the injection system
- Time savings due to integrated accuracy and calibration routines to ISO9001
- One measurement sensor or measurement system for the complete measurement range
- Measurement results absolutely comparable with those of the AVL Mass Flow Meter
- High thermal stability of ± 0,1°C is guaranteed by the conditioning system
