Limited Installation Space – Small Uncooled Sensors

Since the launch of the first uncooled transducer with a GaP04 measuring element – the GM11D – these transducers have undergone continous improvement and the scope has been expanded. Today AVL supplies a wide range of reliable, high-precision sensors with accessories for use in applications with limited space. The reason for the outstanding properties of these transducers is the combination of the unrivalled thermal characteristics of the GaP04 crystal and the deformation-resistant housing.

Non destructive Pressure Measurement with High-precision Sensors

As the demand increased for small, high-precision pressure transducers that can be mounted in spark plug and glow plug adapters, AVL came up with uncooled sensors using the AVL-exclusive GaP04 crystal. Their compactness and the thermal stability of the GaP04 measuring element mean that transducers can be mounted very close to the combustion chamber and high precision measurements can be taken without interference from pipe oscillations.
