Hans-List AwardWe are happy to inform you that AVL has originated the Hans-List-Award, an award for innovative thinkers with an endowment of Euro 50,000.
The development of innovative solutions in the field of vehicle powertrains is of enormous importance to AVL. Young engineers all over the world with new approaches are often the driving force behind technical progress. In order to promote such young engineers and to remember the great pioneer in the development of the internal combustion engine, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans List, this award has been originated.
The Awarding Criteria - The laureates have to stand out due to innovative achievements in the international area of powertrain engineering.
- Achievements can refer to complete powertrain systems or to single powertrain components.
- Achievements can be based on constructive, empirical or theoretical areas.
- Achievements have to have a strong reference to practical use and value.
- Practical use has to be proven by the realization in serial production and the commercial launch.
Online Submission
The online questionnaire that serves as the basis for submissions can be filled in online on the official website: www.hans-list-award.com between February 1st and July 31st 2008. All submissions have to be in English.
Selecting Winners
Winners are selected by an international expert jury in a multi-stage selection process, where in the first stage; a selection committee makes a preselection of maximum ten submissions.
The jury then decides on the winner based on this shortlist.
