Collin Trust Award goes to Helmut List

A special distinction was conferred on Helmut List: the CEO of AVL List GmbH was awarded the Collin Trust Award in the framework of the CIMAC Conference in Vienna. The award, given to personalities in industry every three years, recognizes the services of Helmut List and the expertise of AVL as a leading research company.

Helmut List is in excellent prizewinning company. In the past, high-ranking personalities, such as Jürgen Hubbert of DaimlerChrysler AG, were awarded the prize. On the occasion of the award, Helmut List held a much-publicized talk on the subject of fuels of the future under the title “Fuel for Tomorrow – Future Availability and Acceptability of World Energy Resources suitable for the Marine, Power Generation and Locomotive Applications.”

The Collin Trust Award was founded by Lars Collin to promote public interest in future energy sources and research in the field of alternative fuels in the interest of sustainable environmental protection.

The award was given to Helmut List in front of some 1000 delegates from all over the world in the framework of the recent CIMAC conference in Vienna. CIMAC (Conseil International des machines a combustion) is a worldwide, independent, non-profit organization dealing with technology surrounding large-scale diesel and gas engines and gas turbines.

AVL is the world’s largest privately-owned and independent company for the development of powertrain systems with combustion engines as well as instrumentation and test systems. The high-tech company AVL employs 3,640 people worldwide. Turnover in 2006 was 537 million Euro.
