Built with a special Double Shell™ and thermally optimized piezoelectric crystal elements, the AVL sensor GH14DK is suitable for supercharged engines with high specific output. An improved membrane material and geometry enable the perfect trade-off between accuracy and robustness.
The combustion pressure sensor decouples its piezoelectric elements from the negative influences of mechanical stresses that occur due to its mounting in the engine. This gives it the robustness required to make it the industry standard for research and development tasks.
The sensor is equipped with a sensor identification cable (SIC) for sensor data management (SDM). Using a thermo protection can improve the cyclic drive by 0.4 bar. A measuring range up to 300 bar and an operating temperature from -40 to 400 °C make this a reliable and accurate combustion analysis solution.
