/ 227 Our services fit seamlessly into the powertrain and vehicle development process as shown in figure 1. Different departments co-operate in this process. A service provider has to understand the interaction of all parties involved to identify synergies and ensure efficient service implementation. This results in added value for the whole process. The service quadrants, shown in figure 2, are the foundation for realizing the added value. Application services are a necessary addition to the described service portfolio: They encompass the different customer applications as well as the customer-specific tool chain.
