This is even more so in the case of electrified powertrains where all individual components of the power electronics have a significant influence on each other and, therefore, need to be tested individually in a virtual environment. To achieve this challenging goal, AVL offers flexible systems for a range of voltages and currents combined with innovative software tools to emulate reality. INVERTER TESTING The AVL inverter testbed provides a comprehensive environment for the development, test and validation of inverters. On the one hand, the e-Storage Emulator guarantees the realistic simulation of the vehicle battery, while the E-Motor Emulator reproduces the behavior of an electric motor including its rotor position sensor.
