/ 131 AVL FuelExact™ Mass Flow & PLU AVL FuelExact™ is a high-precision fuel consumption measurement system. Its contribution to higher testbed efficiency is assured by determination of fuel consumption with the highest precision in minimum measurement time. The application focus is engines up to 2,500 kW. Its high temperature stability and cooling power fulfill all the latest requirements on transient and dynamic testing. MEASUREMENT PRINCIPLE The FuelExact™ exists in two versions: one based on the PLU measuring principle and one based on the Coriolis measuring principle. For further information, please refer to page 128. APPLICATION AVL FuelExact™ covers applications from single-cylinder up to 2,500 kW engines in the field of engine research and development. Due to the high data rate of 20Hz and the fast step response, the system is ideally suited for transient calibration methods that are increasingly applied in engine development. The FlexFuel version expands the application range towards development tasks in the field of bio fuels. New and improved features consistently safeguard your investment. 6 7 10 9 8 1 2 3 5 1 - Einlass 2 - Zahnradzähler 3 - Positionssensor 4 - Kolben 5 - Bypass 6 - Auslass 7 - Servomotor 8 - Impulsgeber 9 - Regler 9 - Signalausgang 4 Sensor C1 Coriolis Force Sensor C2 Signal Density Mass Flow C1 C2 t Flow BENEFITS AT A GLANCE • High flexibility for adaptation to different injection systems as well as a wide range of engine powers up to 2,500 kW • High efficiency on the testbed through unique repeatability and reproducibility of measurement values in minimum time • Easy service due to a large number of diagnostics functions as well as easily accessible hardware components • Minimized commissioning effort via standardized inter faces and diagnosis functions • System calibration according to ISO, UN ECE R49 & US EPA 40 C.F.R.
