It offers a comprehensive set of new capabilities in pre-processing, main program and post-processing, and is the first FIRE® version integrated in the AVL Simulation Desktop - a highly functional Graphical User Interface (GUI) also providing common project and data management for all CAE Tools developed at AVL Advanced Simulation Technologies. This enables easy information sharing and supports inter-disciplinary simulation tasks. The first version of the FIRE® M solution pack standard offers grid generation tools for the interactive generation of high-quality low cell-count block-structured grids as well as the automated modelling of arbitrarily complex geometries deploying polyhedral cells. Extended solver capabilities allow setting up multi-domain models. This is essential if classical fluid flow problems and heat transfer into adjacent structures need to be solved simultaneously.
