IndiSmart

The AVL IndiSmartTM is a tailored solution if different signal types are to be measured. It combines powerful data acquisition, signal amplification for piezo or multipurpose inputs, crank angle signal processing and data processing in just one box with exceptional ease of use and optimized software packages for diesel and gasoline engines. Changing from testbed into the vehicle is very simple with this device, because of its all in one design.

Description

GigaBit Ethernet

All AVL indicating systems are equipped with a GigaBit Ethernet interface for the PC communication. Due to this interface technology raw data can be streamed to the PC's memory, which enables very long measurement durations and various measurement modes.

OHI interface

With the operating and control software AVL IndiComTM it is possible to transfer cyclic result values to the calibration software INCA. Hence cyclic combustion information can be recorded time-synchronously with other engine characteristics. INCA also assumes the role of master during this operating mode, so that AVL IndiComTM is fully remotely controlled.

Standalone Mode

The AVL IndiMicroTM indicating system is able to operate fully stand-alone. Initially parameterized it is able to calculate cyclic results out of the acquired raw data and make it those results available via CAN out

IFile Format

The IFILE is a specific file format developed for the storage of combustion data. Besides the measured raw data and calculated result values, information about the indicating measurement is stored to enable full traceability. Mistakes in the parameterization can be easy detected.

Real Time CAN

Combustion characteristics are available for other acquisition systems via the built-in realtime CAN output interface. The operating software AVL IndiComTM enables the generation of the necessary description file in two different formats (a2l or canDB format)
