Model.CONNECT™ is an open model integration and co-simulation platform connecting virtual and real components into one functional prototype. It provides flexibility and cross-compatibility of the simulation tools within AVL’s Integrated and Open Development Platform (IODP).
- New Python interface component
- A simple and fast way to develop custom interfaces and tool-couplings based on Python
- Interface specification inspired by the FMI standard
- Flexible choice of Python version
- FMI 3.0 beta.4
- As driving member in the Modelica FMI standardization group, we already implemented first FMI 3.0 support
- More features can be expected in autumn release
- Performance improvements
- An additional performance boost of up to 43% for our highly optimized coupling mechanism “parallel fast”
- Minimum co-simulation overhead with in-process coupling
- Optimal coupling of models with different time-step sizes
- Connection properties list
- You can use this list to get a clear overview of all connections in your co-simulation topology
- Now you can also review and edit the connection properties from there
- Import parameter values from DCM files
- Import parameter sets for your simulation models from DCM files
- Integrates perfectly into the virtual calibration workflow with e.g., INCA
- Many fixes and usability improvements
- Check the release notes for more information
