Apprenticeship with higher school certificate

Apprenticeship with higher school certificate

"Our success proves that we are right – over 1/3 of all our apprentices do their apprenticeship combined with the higher school certificate. This training model is extremely popular amongst our apprentices."

How it works

  • There are four examination subjects: German, mathematics, a modern language (English) and a specialist subject
  • The courses are held at AVL, in part during working hours and in part during free time, always between 1 and 5 pm on a Friday
  • All the courses are held directly in-house

Preconditions

  • The basic precondition is a valid apprenticeship contract
  • It is possible to take part in the "apprenticeship with higher school certificate" scheme from the first year of the apprenticeship
  • Three of the four examinations can be taken before the final apprenticeship exam, the fourth after this exam and after reaching the age of 19
  • At least one of the four examinations must be taken during the apprenticeship or by the time of the apprenticeship exam, and the other three by five years after this exam at the latest
