Lead Engineer E/E Vehicle Integration (f/m)

Your Responsibilities:
  • Setting up an E/E Vehicle Integration team in Graz and technical management of that team
  • Supervision and management of the integration of electrical/electronic vehicle systems in the various domains of a vehicle (E/E architecture)
  • Determining the requirements and specification of a process for the integration of vehicle systems with a view to meeting the objectives in terms of deadlines/costs/technology and quality
  • Determining planning and validation based on release and maturity levels in an E/E integration project for various customers (and their specific demands)
  • Supporting the Design Verification Plan Manager (DVP); definition and coordination of testing and validation tasks, their performance, plus assessment of results
  • Planning, monitoring and management of advance development (R&D) projects
  • Pro-active contribution towards the preparation of bids, incl. planning of the development resources needed for the vehicle scopes listed above
  • Liaison between customer, AVL and suppliers
Your Profile:
  • Electrical/mechatronic/control engineering graduate or similar qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical/electronic systems in the vehicle; full understanding of customer requirements
  • Comprehensive experience in system development and integration in the automotive industry
  • Pronounced communication and teamwork skills, and above all leadership skills
  • Analytical and conceptual skills
  • Very good spoken and written command of German
  • Sound spoken and written command of English
  • Self-confidence for holding presentation at customers' and in front of the AVL Management and experts
  • Experience in high-voltage systems (400/800 V in vehicle) design and validation for vehicles an advantage
  • Experience in DOORS, Integrity, Matlab\Simulink, Vector Tools and design simulation tools an advantage
  • CAD design experience an advantage
  • Project management experience in volume development projects, in particular EE integration, an advantage
  • Readiness to travel

Annual Remuneration:
Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: EUR60000 . We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
