AVL offers simulation solutions that support major optimization tasks with regard to the battery development. Simulation models are available at both the system and the component level, with applications that range from a single cell to the battery module to the entire battery pack.
Our electrochemical battery models cover all the typical cell types and chemistries. They are used for cell performance, aging and safety analysis. Electrothermal models are mainly used for battery thermal analysis at module and pack level. Models can also be integrated into hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) and other test systems, offering a testing environment that guarantees a realistic battery simulation.
