Ladies and gentlemen from business, science, society and politics,
Post-fossil, affordable mobility is an internationally aspired and quickly formulated sustainability goal. On closer inspection, however, it is often caught between ideological world views, technical challenges and energy limits.
Nevertheless, the future must be shaped sustainably. This can be achieved neither by clinging to the present nor by wishful thinking, but above all by STEM.
Science, technology, engineering and mathematics as a whole form the basis for technically feasible and socially acceptable energy and mobility concepts. The complexity of the interrelationships requires all disciplines to engage in a dialog in which they do not seek to impose their own convictions, but to work together across disciplinary boundaries to find solutions.
This is where the International AVL Emissions and Energy Forum comes in. It is an established platform for up-to-date information on the pressing issues of climate-friendly mobility, based on the latest findings on life cycle analysis, modern energy infrastructure, future-proof drive concepts, sustainable fuels and CO2 monitoring.
However, it is not only the contemporary topics that characterize the conference. The diverse backgrounds of the speakers and, above all, the opportunities for direct personal exchange give the event its distinctive character. In the words of the French poet Guy de Maupassant:
It is encounters with people that make life worth living.
With this in mind, we look forward to meeting you in Ludwigsburg.
