AVL has once again proven its innovation leadership: With 192 patent applications in 2024, the company has secured the top spot in the Austrian Patent Office's ranking for the 14th time in a row. This underlines AVL's role as a technological pioneer and driver of innovation.

Graz, March 7, 2025 - AVL has once again proven its innovation leadership: With 192 patent applications in 2024, the company has secured the top spot in the Austrian Patent Office's ranking for the 14th time in a row. This underlines AVL's role as a technological pioneer and driver of innovation.

It is particularly noteworthy that around two thirds of the new patents relate to sustainable technologies - above all developments in the field of electrification. Artificial intelligence is also playing an increasingly important role in AVL's patented solutions and is opening up new possibilities for future-oriented applications. In total, the company has over 2,300 living, granted patents worldwide.
