products 3 1 F O C U S AVL E-POWER MEASUREMENT SYSTEM The AVL e-Power Measurement System is a modularly extensible and compact solution for precise power measurement in fully electric and hybrid powertrains. The measurement system has an 8-channel data acquisition unit and provides fast (800 kHz) measurement of voltage and current, as DC AC well as speed and torque in electric powertrains. The raw data values are transferred to a PC; the AVL operating software then assists users with the parameter settings, measurement and data post-processing. The results are characteristic values, such as real effective values (voltage, current), electric power (active, reactive and apparent power), mechanical power (together with a torque flange), efficiency, harmonic components in electrical power, fundamental frequency of the electric motor current and power factor. The calculation results can be displayed as numeric values or, graphically, as trend curves. It is additionally possible to transfer them to the test-bed automation system. The raw measured data can also be recorded for a definable measuring time and saved in a data file to be analyzed further later on in data post-processing. • Designed for testbed operation – modular and robust: Designed for demanding testbed environments, based on tried and tested AVL high-speed hardware used for combustion measurement systems. • Easy set-up: Software with pre-configured settings for typical powertrain applications. The system automatically detects signal conditioning modules for the voltages and the current sensors and reads out their calibration data. • User-friendly operation: The software provides standard display windows in numerical or graphical form to view the results. Users can additionally put together their own specific display window from a choice of display elements. The entire configuration is saved and can be reloaded easily at any time. • Online results or raw data recording: A large number of online result calculations are available during the measurement. Alternatively, raw data and the calculated results can be recorded to one file (AVL IFile, ASAM MDF4.1 or ASCII). All graphics can be exported as EMF, BMP or JPG files. < Unit under test Signal conditioning Data acquisition Parameterization and online evaluation Offline post-processing Battery Inverter E-Motor DC and AC High DC and AC voltage Speed, torque IndiModul.xEV AVL measurement and data acquisition software AVL CONCERTO Combustion-engine signals from HYBRID powertrain CURRENT SENSOR SUPPLY BOX HIGH VOLTAGE PROBE BOX
