/ 183 CANISTER CONDITIONING UNIT AVL CANLOAD Current trends and future demands concerning alternative fuels and various drive concepts require adeuate and eile test systems. AVL CANLOA systems show themselves to e state-of-the-art y providing a wide range of test solutions and supporting standard certification, individual R and durability testing. MEASUREMENT PRINCIPLE AND SOLUTION The CANLOAD pneumatic unit is designed for all standard applications based on butane/nitrogen or fuel vapor handling. It provides all required functions including individual valve matrix control, canister interface and mass-ow regulation. The elimination of volumes etween valves and canister, comined with intelligent software functions, e.g. delay time evaluation and time-ased purge routines, etc. increases accuracy and repeataility. Specially designed mass-ow controllers provide freely adjustale mass ow rates. The CANLOA enales the conditioning of activated caron filters ACF, which are used in the tank systems of vehicles. uring this procedure, the ACF is loaded with utane- and fuel-vapor up to full saturation and is ushed again afterwards. This test verifies the ACFs correct functioning and is compulsory for further evaporative emission measurements SHE and fuel tank filling tests FUELLOA of vehicles. The modern system design enales eile alignment with constantly increasing reuirements in the field of fuel mitures and powertrains hyrid. BENEFITS AT A GLANCE • Modularly extendable design for up to four lines simultaneously • ORVR simulation modules supporting R&D • Hybrid vehicle canister testing, e.g. dynamic purge functions Fully-automated, unmanned operation Continuously variale fuel loading rate and scavenging airow rate ravimetric control function use of two alances CE conform / ATE certified euipment CANLOAD device automation: improved graphical look and feel operation interface for manual operation specific diagnostics and services
