The information relates in particular to the process at AVL Headquarters (Graz).

You can join us as working student or you can do a mandatory internship with us, if required by the curriculum. Additionally, there is the opportunity for summer internships – so "get out of the lecture hall and into practice".

Simply send us your application online (you can find all open positions at jobs.avl.com). To do this, create a short job profile once and send us your application with just one click. If there is no suitable position for you at the moment, you are also welcome to send us a speculative application. If everything goes well, we will confirm receipt of your application and keep you informed about the next steps.

If your application has aroused our interest, you will be invited to an interview with the Hiring Manager of the department of interest. We will keep you informed throughout this process. If you are selected, you will receive an electronic offer from us. If you accept it, you will become part of the AVL family. You can find detailed information about our application process here.

You can do a summer internship and gain your first exciting work experience at AVL. Additionally you can also get to know AVL during practical orientation days from school.

In the summer months between June and September each year, you can spend 4-6 weeks at AVL gaining initial insights.

Applications can be made via our online portal jobs.avl.com and are always possible from December to February. Simply let us know in your application which area of work and which period is ideal for you. After a successful application, you will immediately receive an automatic confirmation of receipt. The summer internships are allocated at the beginning of May and you will be notified immediately afterwards.

After the application deadline (end of February), we will review the applications received in detail and make a decision based on your informative application documents. The final allocation is made by the beginning of May and you will be informed immediately afterwards.

Pay particular attention to an informative CV. If you have already gained professional experience, list the tasks and activities you have completed, for example. Keep in mind which information is particularly important with regard to your previous career in order to be able to assess your qualifications for a position in the best possible way.

Unfortunately, no. This possibility only exists if an unpaid internship is mandatory in a training program (external institute).
