tool includes a number of improvements
that make this powerful solution even better.
HIGH-END POWERTRAIN TESTING
Our latest revision of iGEM 2 now includes a new high-end extension
for powertrain testing. It allows you to execute pre-defined
test series semi- or fully automatically, most efficiently through the
parallel execution of multiple tasks. The execution can be adapted
by the customer and custom test sequences can be easily integrated.
Integration of ECU communication allows for fully unmanned
calibration work. The solution enables you to execute regulationcompliant
vehicle tests in parallel to your R&D test procedures.
With an eight times faster soaking time, our Powertrain Engineering
(PTE) business unit increased their efficiency by conducting
up to 21 tests per day instead of three. This resulted in a time reduction
of the test program by one third. And with fewer prototypes
required for testing, it also results in significant cost savings.
NEXT STEPS IN ELECTRIFICATION
In addition to existing hybrid testing support we have added extra
versatility for testing fuel cell and battery electric vehicles (BEV).
This includes support for gravimetric H2 fuel consumption measurement,
with detailed reports and data available for certification
and R&D purposes. Theoretical range calculation with the available
H2 volume is covered, along with documentation for H2 bottle
specifications. EPA legislation support is included, with other
standards to follow soon.
DRIVING ROBOT SUPPORT
For highest vehicle testing efficiency,
we support fully automated
and unmanned driving with
pedal actuators or robots like
STÄHLE. Also, various driving
controllers like AVL ISAC 6™,
FRED and STÄHLE can be used.
This next step in automation allows
to simulate a wide range of different
driving profiles and styles.
