We offer both direct drive low-speed induction motors (dual speed configurations – pole switching winding) with direct grid power supply connection by mains and induction motors designed to be operated via variable frequency drive converters (VFD).

AVL’s direct drive low-speed motors are engineered specifically for forced draft cooling towers and run as gearless solutions. Designed for long lifespans of up to decades, our direct drive motors deliver consistent performance with minimal service effort. 

Synchronous motors with permanent magnets are an option upon request. Our focus on low-speed and high-efficiency motors eliminates the need for gearboxes and oil, while ensuring no wear and minimal maintenance.
