Matthias Dank returned to AVL in 2023 and joined the Management Board. As the executive vice president of the Instrumentation and Test Systems Division, he is responsible for technology and operations.
The engineer and mathematician has more than 20 years of professional experience in product and technology development, engineering management, and business transformation. Between 2010 and 2020, he was responsible for the Motorsport business in AVL's Instrumentation and Test Systems Division. In 2020 he was appointed Director of Motorsports at McLaren Applied, a world-renowned company in electronics, communications, electrification, software, and analytics.
