Dr. Roland Wanker | Dr.-Ing. Moritz Frobenius

As simulation experts, we are at the center of three changes: First, new technologies are coming to the forefront that require new simulation methods and solutions - in the vehicle, this is the electric powertrain and the need to increasingly secure vehicle functions virtually. On the other hand, improved hardware and the sheer inexhaustible resources of the cloud are enabling new simulation technologies. In addition, it is not yet clear what impact artificial intelligence will have on simulation methodology.

How will these changes impact the simulation landscape? What are the opportunities? What challenges will we face? Exploring the future of simulation is the theme of the AVL Simulation Conference Germany 2024.

Our conference allows you to network with experts and managers in the field of virtualization and simulation. It offers the ideal platform to create new, innovative ideas together and to explore the possibilities of joint future projects.

How can the number of physical prototypes in development be reduced? What other options are there for reducing development costs? Which real-world tests can be virtualized? What possibilities does artificial intelligence offer in simulation? How does simulation scale and thus open up new dimensions? How does virtualization increase development speed?

Let's find the answers to these questions together. Be part of the simulation community!

27.–28.09.2022 | marinaforum Regensburg

In the field of virtualization and simulation, the AVL German Simulation Conference 2022 stands for meeting experts, experiencing innovation and taking know-how into everyday working life. And the more than 180 participants were able to take this knowledge with them from over 50 presentations and 16 different sessions.

Networking and interaction between the conference participants was very important to us, as the 2020 conference took place virtually. From one UNESCO World Heritage city to another, from Graz to Regensburg - this year we transferred the German simulation conference to the conference center of the Marinaforum, once the city's slaughterhouse, today it is a state-of-the-art conference and congress center of a special kind.

On the first evening, we got off to a brilliant start with over 100 guests at the Welcome Evening and all participants were really happy to be able to interact live and in color again. The registration figures speak for themselves that the experts want to leave their desks again and network bilaterally. The networking dinner on the second evening was also a complete success.

In addition to the social component, the focus was of course on virtualization and simulation. We heard inspiring keynotes from industry leaders as well as exciting highlight presentations from leading vehicle and powertrain experts. These were complemented by user-oriented workshops on specific simulation and virtualization topics.

To summarize in the words of the conference participants: networking, finally live again, come together, great atmosphere, great, wonderful, mega, openness, great location, great food. That was the AVL German Simulation Conference 2022 in Regensburg.
