AVL Italia and The Marbel Project: Battery Innovations Advances
- News
The consortium of the European MARBEL project met at the Applus+ IDIADA facilities in Santa Oliva (Tarragona) for an important coordination meeting. Representatives of all the companies involved came together to review the progress of the project and plan the next steps in the development of state-of-the-art batteries for electric vehicles.
On the agenda was the careful planning of the assembly of different batteries with the developed components and their rigorous testing and technical validation. Joint workshops were held to discuss the key challenges of the project and ensure a consistent approach for the future.
The participants also visited the electric mobility laboratories at Applus+ IDIADA, the company in charge of designing and developing a test bench for the validation of batteries in the field. This facility will enable comprehensive performance testing of batteries in electric vehicles, simulating different driving conditions and usage environments.
The MARBEL project, coordinated by Eurecat and funded under the Horizon 2020 program, aims to develop modular, lightweight and sustainable batteries. These innovations should improve the efficiency and environmental friendliness of electromobility and represent an important step towards a greener future.
