Calibration Engineer (Deutschland und Graz) m/f

Your Responsibilities:
  • Calibration of powertrain control units (engine, exhaust gas after-treatment, transmission, hybrid)
  • Planning, implementation and analysis of steady-state and transient calibration on engine test beds
  • Planning, implementation and analysis of dynamic calibration in vehicles with a view to driveability and statutory emission limits as also on-board diagnostics
  • Optimization and testing on test rides in all climatic conditions (heat, cold, high altitude)
  • Robustness tests for production tolerances, fuel qualities and country-specific requirements
  • Documentation of development work, presentation of results
  • Internal communication for the planning and organization of calibration tasks
  • Communication with customers to present analyses and findings
Your Profile:
  • Mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronic engineering, technical physics or technical chemistry graduate of a university of technology or university of applied sciences
  • Profound knowledge of thermodynamics for combustion engines, transmissions and electrical powertrain
  • Interest in powertrain technology and vehicles
  • Basic electronics, IT and control engineering knowledge
  • Readiness to travel
  • Analytical thinking and understanding of complex relationships
  • Self-directed and goal-oriented approach to work
  • Experienced user of calibrations tools (e.g. INCA, Concerto, DiagRa) preferred
  • Good communication skills, organizational and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in the language of the site (e.g. German) and/or readiness to learn the language
  • Passenger car driving license
