AVL Stingray™ One

Successful firefighting with our battery safety system.

AVL Stingray™ One is a revolutionary and innovative new product that quickly, efficiently, and safely brings burning vehicle batteries under control after accidents, at charging stations or in underground garages.

AVL Stingray™ One

There are currently more than 10 million battery electric vehicles on the road worldwide. Even if the use is safe in principle, fire may occur due to unforeseen events.  But how can a battery fire be brought under control? Firefighters and stakeholder like  car park operators need a reliable solution. We have developed an effective system to control burning vehicle batteries. AVL Stingray™ One is an innovative system resulting from the culmination of its many years of expertise in the field of battery research and development. The system can suppress battery fires after an accident or during charging, on the road or  even if the fire occurs in underground garages.

This groundbreaking system enables emergency responders to control burning vehicle batteries safely, efficiently and quickly. It is characterized by its simple operation and handling and consists of a unit that only requires the connection of the extinguishing hose of the fire truck or a hydrant.

Limit Risk of Personal Injury

With a remote control, the system can be activated from a safe distance to minimize the risk of personal injury.

Suitable for Many Vehicle Types

The system is small, compact, and versatile, which makes it possible to use on a variety of different vehicles.

Superior Methodology

Unlike other methods, this revolutionary system instantly goes to the source of the fire by penetrating the battery.

Conserving Water

Water goes directly to the source of the fire. This cuts down the amount of water required as well as the cooling time.

Safe and Efficient Battery Cooling

Should an accident occur, and a battery starts burning or reaches uncontrollable temperatures, the punch unit penetrates the battery. This allows the core to be cooled immediately with cooling fluid. Unlike other methods, this revolutionary system instantly goes to the source of the fire. This cuts down both the amount of cooling liquid required as well as the cooling time. Our new system provides a unique, highly effective battery cooling method, improving the safety for all involved. Furthermore, Stingray One is small, compact, and versatile, which makes it feasible for firefighters to use on a variety of different vehicles.

  • Effective cooling that fights the fire at the point of origin
  • Low water consumption
  • Fast battery cool-down
  • Small and compact solution for simple handling
