A battery cell test system is a testbed that includes at least one temperature chamber suitable for testing lithium-ion batteries, a cell cycler in the appropriate current and voltage range, and an automation system. The size of the cell determines which of the various chambers with special safety equipment is required. In addition to the chamber, the cell cycler and the required current and voltage ranges must be aligned with the respective cell.
Along with our test system, we also offer automation software for performing all types of fully automated tests. The products mentioned above, but also special equipment such as Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) can be integrated and operated within our AVL Battery Cell TSTM. We also offer software solutions for running entire laboratories with several thousand cell test channels via AVL Lab Management™ for Battery.
While the selection of individual laboratory power supplies is not a big challenge, the configuration of a testbed that fully automatically controls 15 different components from different manufacturers with 60 channels for more than 1000 hours without error is much more difficult. This is why we developed the AVL Battery Cell TSTM. Whether cell cyclers for 0.5 A to 2400 A, EIS meters for 5 A or 30 A, measurement of voltage, resistance, current or a safety PLC, we deliver a test system tailored to your needs.
